Accelerated Freefall 1 week course |
|
| |
Learn to skydive with our
one week intensive Accelerated Freefall (AFF) training
courses and go home a qualified skydiver!
The full UK AFF course
consists of 8 Levels (1 skydive per level) and then you
need a further 10 solo consolidation parachute jumps to
apply for your British Parachute Association A-Licence.
We understand it can be
daunting when you start a new sport and so this year we
have launched ‘Accelerated weeks’ with the aim of
helping students meet like-minded people and have the
best introduction to skydiving possible.

This is the right place
to find out all about the 1 week intensive Accelerated
Freefall course.
If you would still like to do the AFF course, but not at
such an intensive pace, you can choose to do the AFF
Level or Full course set at a speed of your convenience.
 |
AFF Level 1 - Is available as unique introduction to the
AFF course or as a one-off experience. Then if you
decide to carry on, then you can sign up for the
remaining 7 levels of the course. |
 |
Full Course - The full 8 level course can be taken at
your convenience at weekends or mid-week.

 |
One day of groundtraining & all
briefing & video de-briefing during the course |
 |

 |
Breakfast & lunch Monday - Friday |
 |
5 nights accomodation in our
on-site bunkhouse |
 |

everything you need to get started! |
The deposit is £300 leaving you £1050
to pay on arrival.
AFTER THE AFF COURSE
After passing the 8 levels of AFF,
there are an addition 10 consolidation jumps to complete
which costs an extra £32 per jump including all
equipment & instruction. You can pay as you jump with
these skydives.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Our intensive skydiving course runs
from Monday to Friday, however you are welcome to stay
longer for a full 7 days onto the Saturday and Sunday to
complete the necessary consolidation jumps to attain
your licence.
Skydiving is of course a weather
dependant sport and it’s the one aspect we can neither
control nor predict. Plus the speed at which you
progress in your training depends on how you, the
student, take to this extreme sport. All being well, you
can expect to complete 3 jumps per day – sometimes 2 or
4.

Freefall Progression System |

Day 1 Groundschool
Training starts at 9am on Monday morning and
over the course of the day a fully qualified BPA
instructor will teach you everything you need to
know to safely complete your first skydive.
Unfortunately
it’s not always possible to complete the Level 1
jump immediately after the course and so often
this takes place on Tuesday morning
Tuesday
Day 2 Levels 1/2/3
Accompanied by two expert instructors you jump
from 15,000ft wearing your own parachute and after up to
one minute of exhilarating freefall you open and land it
yourself.
Wednesday Day 3 Levels
4/5/6
From Level 4 onwards you are now accompanied by
only one instructor and you begin to learn how
to turn and move in the sky as well as having
some fun with backlooping and unstable exits.
Thursday Day 4 Levels
7/8
Begin your solo consolidation jumps!
Level 7 is essentially a qualifying dive and
incorporates all the skills you have learnt over
the previous jumps.
Friday/Saturday/Sunday

BRING WITH YOU
 |
If you

sleeping bag, pillow and towel. |
 |
Comfortable

WiFi access at the parachute centre. |
WHAT
HAPPENS IF I DON'T COMPLETE THE COURSE IN TIME?
Don’t worry.
Should you not be able to complete the course in the
week all is not
lost. Although the package price is non-refundable, all
monies paid do stay on account and we are open virtually
every day for you to return and continue your
parachuting course.
However there are some
‘currency’ requirements which you will be made aware of
when you start your course. After one month you will
need to upgrade your BPA membership at an additional
cost.
ALTERNATIVE
TO THE INTENSIVE COURSE
If you do not have
the time to take a whole week off work to do the
intensive course, you can signup for the slower-paced
AFF
course. Most students do this over a series of
weekends fitting their free time.
You can also choose to
communicate with Target Skysports by
email or by
Skype. Our Skype user name is Target Skysports
Office.
