Safety Day is an ideal opportunity to shake the winter
blues and get involved in a series of short seminars
intended to prompt thought and discussion about various
aspects of skydiving. From personal fitness tips, to
checking your kit over we aim to make a fun day
hopefully giving you some thought provoking ideas.

20th to 21st The
weekend will consist of all judges going through all the
rules and any changes in any discipline. Then they will
split into groups for their own particular disciplines
and do some judging training with DVDs. This is also a
good opportunity for any teams who will be training at
Hib that weekend to get their training skydives judged,
so they can see if there is anything they need to work
on from a judges point of view.
This is an ideal opportunity for anyone considering
taking up judging. You can come along and see what
happens.

Safe Flight Course with Brian

2nd to 4th
Canopy courses have become
an essential part of the learning curve for all
skydivers. Brian Vacher's Basic Safeflight Course breaks
down the complexities of canopy flying into simple
easily understood principles. You will practice these
over the 10 hop & pop jumps included in the course and
each landing is videoed and debriefed in the classroom.
You will learn a lot about how to fly, land, canopy
safely and leave with more skills and confidence to help
through you skydiving career. A highly recommended
course, it really is the best way to stay safe under
canopy.
The 3-day course costs £350
and includes 10 hop & pop jumps. Places are limited to
12, so please call the office or the dropzone to pay
your £50 non refundable deposit.

advantage of the Bank Holiday and stay a few extra days!
The Dropzone will be open all week (including Tuesday)
and is available for fun jumping and team training
alike. Jump tickets on the Skysaver scheme will cost £16
per slot for individuals and teams alike. Team jumps
will count towards our normal sliding scale team account
rates. FS and FF coaches will be available.

Scrambles is always a fun
meet, teams are drawn on the day with a capable team
captain and a fair mix of levels between teams to create
a good competition. You don't need to be the hottest FS
jumper to take part and it’s a great way to meet other
jumpers and maybe even some future team-mates.
We try to accommodate as
many Non FS1s as possible but we unfortunately are
restricted by numbers and ability levels.

Last years FF Scrambles was
such a great success that we have decided to make it an
annual event.
Competitors jump with a
different team mate each round to gain a personal score
accumulated over the course of the competiton. Jumpers
are also split into just head up or both head up and
down categories to encourage all freeflyers to enter.
We’re pleased to have VFS team the Bad Lieutenants
organizing and are certain a great night will follow in
the bar.

third Skysaver week! As the Nationals draw closer it
offers an opportunity to get into full swing with your
training. We already have teams scheduled providing a

4-way FS and VFS National competitions.
4-way FS consists of 4
categories from Triple-A all the way down to Rookie so
you don’t need to be a top level FS jumper to take part
– even if you’re inexperienced or intermediate the
National Championships has a place for you. We even have
some scratch teams forming on the Friday!! It’s a great
weekend so come and get involved.
The exciting new discipline
of Vertical Formation Skydiving (VFS) is only in its
second official year as a British National competition
and with teams committing to training for the 2010
season we expect to enjoy some exceptional footage of
the best of British freeflyers.
