30th July - Sheffield Neurocare

Date posted:

A huge congratulations to charity tandem skydive Jack Mitchell who successfully made his 1st tandem parachute jump for Sheffield Neurocare. Jack is not your average tandem skydiver, he was involved in an awful accident suffering some pretty serious brain injuries which left him confined largely to a wheelchair. That being said, Jack came to us wanting to make his first skydive and after an assessment, we decided he was suitable.

Jack is not new to the world of extreme sports and a few years back he also made a bungee jump. Not content with that on his bucket list, skydiving over the skies of Lincolnshire from 15000ft was next!

So on the 31st July, he hooked up to tandem instructor South and got Andy Pointer to film it all.

It was his second success this week because on Thursday, he was received a university degree in politics from Leeds Uni. Making the most of life when you are 23 is hard enough, but Jack proves what a bit of inspiration can achieve.
